Mechanical Bull Hire Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These are the customer-facing terms for mechanical bull hire by Full Throttle Chaos. Please read them before booking.

1. Booking & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions apply to all mechanical bull hire supplied by Full Throttle Chaos ("FTC", "we", "us" or "our"). By paying a deposit or invoice, accepting a quote, signing or electronically accepting a booking, or allowing us to commence delivery or setup, the customer ("you" or "your") accepts these Terms & Conditions. A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received in cleared funds and FTC has confirmed the booking.

2. Hire Packages & Additional Time

Your booking confirmation will state the event date, location, operating period, inclusions and price. Setup and pack-down time are not deducted from the booked operating period. Any extension is subject to operator availability and must be approved by FTC. Unless otherwise quoted, additional operating time is charged at $150 per hour or part thereof once the booked finish time is exceeded by more than 15 minutes at the customer's request.

3. Deposit & Final Payment

A non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total booking value is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be paid in cleared funds no later than 7 calendar days before the event. Bookings made within 7 days of the event require payment in full at confirmation. FTC is not required to dispatch, deliver, set up or operate equipment while any amount due for the booking remains unpaid.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations must be made in writing. The 25% booking deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 7 days before the event, amounts paid above the deposit may be refunded or transferred at FTC's discretion, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred. If you cancel within 7 days of the event, the full booking price remains payable and is non-refundable because equipment, staffing and the event date have been committed. Any approved date change is subject to availability and may be subject to revised pricing, travel or other costs.

5. Weather

Mechanical bull hire is weather dependent. You are responsible for considering a suitable undercover wet-weather alternative that provides safe access, clearance, ventilation and electrical conditions. FTC and the operator have final authority to delay, pause, relocate or cease operation where rain, lightning, storms, strong winds, flooding, unsuitable ground or other conditions create a safety risk. Customer cancellation, shortened operating time or inability to operate because of weather does not create an entitlement to a refund. Where practical, FTC may agree to a date transfer at its discretion. Nothing in this clause limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Site, Access & Setup

You must provide accurate site and access information before the event. The setup area must be level, stable, reasonably clean, clear of hazards and suitable for the complete mechanical bull, inflatable arena, operator position and required safety area. Safe vehicle access must be available for delivery and collection. You are responsible for obtaining any venue, property owner, council or event approval required for the hire. Additional costs caused by incorrect site information, difficult access, delays or an unsuitable setup area may be charged to you.

7. Electrical Supply

Unless the FTC Power Package has been booked, you must provide two separate, suitable and compliant 240V electrical circuits within practical reach of the setup area. A single circuit split through power boards, double adaptors or similar devices does not satisfy this requirement. Power must be safe, accessible and protected from weather and public interference. If suitable power is unavailable, FTC may refuse to operate the equipment. Subject to availability, FTC can supply an independent generator power package for an additional charge.

8. Operator Authority & Safety

The mechanical bull may only be controlled by an FTC-authorised operator. The operator's safety directions are final. FTC may reduce ride intensity, refuse a rider, stop a ride, suspend operation or terminate the service where the operator reasonably considers a rider, spectator, site condition or behaviour to present a safety risk. Customers and guests must not interfere with controls, electrical equipment, barriers, anchoring, the inflatable arena or other equipment.

9. Rider Rules

Only one rider may ride at a time unless FTC expressly permits otherwise. NO FOOTWEAR is permitted while riding or within the inflatable riding area. Shoes, boots, heels, thongs and other footwear must be removed before entering the inflatable area. Socks or bare feet only, subject to the operator's direction. Riders must remove sharp, loose or hazardous items when directed and must follow all operator instructions. No flips, stunts, deliberate misuse, climbing on equipment or entry into restricted operator areas is permitted.

10. Rider Fitness, Age & Minors

Mechanical bull riding is a physical activity involving sudden movement and falls onto an inflatable surface. Each rider is responsible for deciding whether they are physically able to participate and must follow any age, height, weight or other restrictions imposed by FTC, the equipment manufacturer or insurer. A person who is pregnant, has a recent injury, significant back or neck condition, heart condition, seizure disorder or another condition that may be aggravated by the activity should not ride unless appropriately cleared by their medical practitioner. Minors must have the consent and supervision required by FTC and the event organiser.

11. Alcohol, Drugs & Behaviour

FTC may refuse participation to any person who appears excessively intoxicated, affected by drugs, aggressive, unable to follow instructions or otherwise unsafe to ride. Alcohol consumption does not reduce the rider's obligation to comply with safety directions. Abusive, threatening, reckless or unsafe conduct toward FTC staff, equipment or other attendees may result in immediate suspension or termination of the service without refund.

12. Event Supervision

The customer or event organiser remains responsible for general event supervision, crowd behaviour, orderly queuing and keeping spectators outside designated operating and safety areas. FTC's operator is responsible for operating the mechanical bull and managing participation in the ride; the operator is not responsible for supervising the entire event or venue.

13. Damage, Cleaning & Customer-Caused Loss

You are responsible for reasonable repair, replacement, recovery or excessive cleaning costs resulting from deliberate damage, misuse, failure to follow instructions or other customer/guest conduct that causes loss to FTC. Fair wear and tear and equipment failure not caused by the customer or attendees are excluded.

14. Equipment Failure or FTC Cancellation

If FTC cannot provide the booked service for reasons within our reasonable control, we may offer a suitable replacement, rescheduled date, credit or refund for the affected service as appropriate. If a mechanical or electrical issue occurs during the event, the operator may suspend operation while attempting a safe remedy. Any adjustment for lost operating time will be assessed having regard to the circumstances and your rights under applicable law.

15. Liability & Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for loss or damage to the extent caused by its own negligence, breach or wrongful act. FTC excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss to the extent that such liability may lawfully be excluded.

16. Force Majeure

FTC is not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, emergency directions, venue shutdowns, widespread power failures or similar events that could not reasonably have been prevented. FTC will act reasonably to minimise disruption and may discuss rescheduling or another appropriate outcome where circumstances permit.

17. Photography & Marketing

FTC may photograph or film its equipment and general event setup for operational or marketing purposes where lawful and appropriate. FTC will not intentionally use identifiable images of minors for marketing without appropriate consent. If you do not want identifiable event images used for marketing, notify FTC in writing before the event.

18. Privacy

Personal information supplied in connection with a booking may be used to quote, administer and deliver the hire, process and collect payment, manage safety and insurance requirements, and communicate with you about the booking. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy obligations and any privacy policy published by FTC.

19. Changes to a Confirmed Booking

Any requested change to the event date, location, operating hours, access, package, power requirements or other material booking detail is subject to FTC approval and availability. A change may result in additional charges. The Terms & Conditions applying to a booking are those provided or linked when the booking is confirmed, unless a later change is agreed or required by law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Subject to any mandatory legal rights to bring a claim elsewhere, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in Queensland.
